...RED FLAG WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 7 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE
NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS...

...FIRE WEATHER WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE
HUMIDITY FOR EASTERN NEW MEXICO AND THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY...

.A more extensive fire growing pattern is likely to begin Saturday
with strong south to southwest winds, single digit humidity, hot
temperatures, and receptive fuel conditions.

* AFFECTED AREA...Northeast Plains (Zone 104), Middle Rio Grande
Valley (Zone 106), Central Highlands (Zone 125), and East Central
Plains (Zone 126).

* TIMING...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts
up to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Relative humidity between 6 and 11 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is not recommended.
