Special Weather Statement issued May 10 at 11:54PM CDT by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
At 1153 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Karnes City, moving southeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Kenedy, Karnes City, Kosciusko, Runge, Falls City, Cestohowa, Coy
City, Paweleville, Zunkerville, Choate, Hobson, El Oso, Deweesville,
Helena, and Pana Maria.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 200 AM CDT for
south central Texas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in
effect until 500 AM CDT for south central Texas.
