The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
Nearshore waters from the Islands OH to Ripley NY...
Open waters from The Islands OH to Conneaut OH...

* Until 730 PM EDT.

* At 530 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Put-In-Bay to 22 nm north of Avon Point to 29
nm northwest of Geneva-On-The-Lake, moving east at 40 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to nearly 50 knots and large hail.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves. Large hail could result in
structural damage.

* Locations impacted include...
Geneva-On-The-Lake, Conneaut, Avon Point, Erie, Willowick, Fairport
Harbor, Cleveland, Ashtabula, and Lorain Harbor.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
