Description
The Township has once again received reports of Solicitors/Peddlers going door to door without the required Solicitor/Peddler License.
Anyone conducting door-to-door solicitation within the Township is required to register with the Township Office, obtain a 30-Day Solicitor/Peddler License, and pay the required fee before soliciting residents.
If someone comes to your door and cannot present a valid Township-issued license, you are under no obligation to speak with or entertain them in any way.
Please remember:
• Solicitors/Peddlers are prohibited from knocking on doors after 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday.
• Solicitation is not permitted on Sundays.
If you encounter a Solicitor/Peddler, ask to see their license and note any identifying information to report to the Township Office. If they fail to produce a valid license, please gather as much information as safely possible and report the incident.
For your safety, never open your door to anyone who behaves aggressively or makes you feel uncomfortable.
