Description
Right now, we have only 9 Letters of Support from a community of 751 people. That number is far too low for the Delta Regional Authority to seriously consider our $1,000,000 grant request.
This grant is critical. It would help us finish our sewer renovation and expansion while minimizing the financial impact on Keiser residents. Every additional dollar we receive in grant funding is a dollar we don’t have to borrow — and that directly affects future rates and long‑term costs for our community.
I am asking — truly begging — for just a few minutes of your time to write a short letter to the DRA explaining any sewer issues you’ve experienced: backups, slow drains, flushing problems, manholes overflowing, anything that shows the real need here in Keiser.
With only 9 letters, our application simply won’t stand out. Your voice could be the difference between approval and denial.
📬 Please address your letter to:
The Honorable Dr. Corey Wiggins
Federal Co-Chairman
Delta Regional Authority
236 Sharkey Avenue, Room 400
Clarksdale, MS 38614
Letters should be dropped off at City Hall and we will include them with our application.
Your support matters more than you know. Let’s show them the true need in Keiser.
