Special Weather Statement issued May 2 at 1:40PM EDT by NWS Melbourne FL

At 139 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Bunnell to near Lake Weir
to 7 miles south of Inverness Highlands South. Movement was east at
55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Deltona, Daytona Beach, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, and DeLand.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM EDT for east central
Florida.
