Description
Special Weather Statement issued May 2 at 12:33PM EDT by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
At 1232 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Williston Highlands to 17 miles west of Rainbow
Lakes Estates to 21 miles west of Crystal River Airport. Movement was
east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Williston, Williston Highlands, Williston Municipal Airport, Inglis,
Lebanon, Citronelle, Crystal Manor, and Citrus Springs.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 PM EDT for northern and
west central Florida.
