...CRITICALLY LOW HUMIDITY WITH GUSTY WINDS AND A MODERATE
SIGNIFICANT FIRE POTENTIAL WILL RESULT IN AN ELEVATED FIRE DANGER
TODAY AND AGAIN ON TUESDAY...
The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT Tuesday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Coastal Levy and Inland Levy.
* TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 8 PM EDT this
evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from 11 AM to 8 PM
EDT Tuesday.
* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 22 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread
quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels can contribute
to extreme fire behavior.
