Dover Township would like to clarify an error in a recent septic system notice sent to some residents.
A follow-up letter mailed on April 10, 2026, incorrectly listed the compliance deadline as April 15, 2026. We understand this may have caused confusion & frustration, and we sincerely apologize.
The correct deadline is May 15, 2026.
What This Means for You
If you received a notice:
• You are still required to have your septic system pumped and inspected (if not already completed)
• You must submit your septic manifest/report to the Township
• All documentation is now due by May 15, 2026
Even if your system has already been serviced, you still need to submit the paperwork to remain in compliance.
Why This Matters
Dover Township Ordinance requires septic systems to be maintained every 4 years to protect public health and groundwater quality.
