Freeze Watch issued April 18 at 1:48PM CDT until April 20 at 8:00AM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL
* WHAT...For the Frost Advisory, temperatures as low as 34 will
result in frost formation. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing
temperatures as low as 30 possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, and west central
Illinois.
* WHEN...For the Frost Advisory, from 1 AM to 8 AM CDT Sunday. For
the Freeze Watch, from late Sunday night through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation. Sensitive
outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
