Mayor Nancy Brunk has issued a mandatory burn ban for North York Borough, York County, as of April 15, 2026, due to dry conditions and high fire risk. This ban prohibits open-air burning, including brush and debris piles. The ban will be re-evaluated on May 15, 2026. Prohibited: Open burning, debris piles, burn barrels, and recreational fires (including portable fire pits). Exceptions: food grills with lids (no open flame burning).
