Description
Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued April 10 at 4:08PM MDT until April 10 at 4:30PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM
At 408 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles northwest of
Cannon Air Force Base, or 12 miles west of Clovis, moving northeast
at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Ranchvale, Cannon Air Force Base, Saint Vrain and Portair.
This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 370 and 387.
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
