Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued April 10 at 3:42PM MDT until April 10 at 4:30PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

SVRABQ

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Curry County in east central New Mexico...

* Until 430 PM MDT.

* At 342 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Saint Vrain,
or 15 miles northwest of Portales, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Clovis, Ranchvale, Cannon Air Force Base, Saint Vrain and Portair.

This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 366 and 387.

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.

Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
