Flood Warning issued April 4 at 9:18PM CDT by NWS Lincoln IL
...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Illinois River at Havana affecting Fulton, Mason and Cass
Counties.
Illinois River at Beardstown affecting Schuyler, Brown, Cass and
Morgan Counties.
Illinois River at Peoria affecting Peoria, Woodford and Tazewell
Counties.
Illinois River at Henry affecting Putnam and Marshall Counties.
.The Illinois River continues to rise in response to recent heavy
rain. Flooding is expected to develop early in the new week.
The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Illinois River at Havana.
* WHEN...From late tonight until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 19.5 feet, Access road to Anderson Lake north
campground closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late tonight and continue rising to a crest of 17.8 feet
early Friday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
