Tips/advice:
We are still in search for at least one more Crime Watch Coordinator. Please contact the Crafton Police Department if you are interested in this position.
Please be mindful of the school buses and always stop when they have students enter or exit the bus when the red lights and stop sign are flashing and activated. Use caution while driving through town as many children have taken to the streets to play due to the warm weather.
Put the cell phone down while driving. The warning period is coming to an end soon and citations will be issued soon for those that are holding their phone while driving.
Please mindful of any suspicious phone calls, text messages and/or emails requesting you purchase gift cards or crypto-currency. These are a scam. If you have any doubt at all block the number and contact the police department to assist you. Sometimes the scammers will “spoof” a known number to pretend to be someone that you know and request you to purchase gift cards, crypto-currency or to send money. Another common scam is receiving a message about unpaid tolls on the turnpike, and they threaten legal action against you. Take a step back, breath and cease having any further communications with that person. Do NOT fall into this trap even if they threaten you with arrest or someone showing up at your door to collect what they requested you to purchase. Contact the police department to file a report.
