Red Flag Warning issued April 1 at 12:03AM CDT until April 1 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX
The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon to 9 PM CDT Wednesday. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Wind...Southwest at 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* Humidity...As low as 17 percent.
* Fuels...Critically to extremely dry.
* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
