Description
Boil Water Notice Rescinded

On March 24, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our
public water system, City of Kenedy, PWS ID 1280002 to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to
inform customers on Hwy792, Comanche St., Ila St., Tilden St., Leland St., Woodhaven St., 601
FM 719, S. 4 th St., Runge St., 5 th St., Carol St. Waco St., Craig St. and anyone else, that was
affected during this main water leak repair with low water pressure or loss of water, that due to
the possible presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must
be boiled prior to consumption.
Our system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore adequate pressure,
disinfectant levels, and/or bacteriological quality and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test
results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of March 27, 2026.
