Description
The National Weather Service is predicting that the confidence is increasing that severe thunderstorms, some potentially significant, will impact the region Monday afternoon and evening. The primary hazard is expected to be damaging winds, though a few tornadoes will also be possible.
In addition to the potential for severe storms, widespread heavy rainfall is expected which could lead to localized flash flooding.
Now is a good time to review your severe weather plan.
Stay tuned to US National Weather Service, local news outlets, facebook and this platform for updates.
Remember if a road is closed it could be for flooding, trees down, wires down. If you see a road closed turn around do not drown and remember if it is not flooding, it again could be down tree(s) or live wires.
