High Wind Warning issued March 14 at 8:27PM CDT until March 15 at 7:00PM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX
* WHAT...For the Blowing Dust Advisory, visibility between
one-quarter and one mile in blowing dust expected. For the High
Wind Warning, northwest winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 65 mph
expected.
* WHERE...The far southern Texas Panhandle, South Plains, and
Rolling Plains.
* WHEN...From 7 AM to 7 PM CDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Hazardous driving conditions are likely due to blowing
dust. Power outages are also possible. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
Persons sensitive to dust should stay indoors until the dust
improves. Loose outdoor objects that could be blown around or
damaged by the wind should be secured in advance.
