Red Flag Warning issued March 14 at 1:16PM CDT until March 15 at 9:00PM CDT by NWS Lubbock TX
The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 7 AM to 9 PM CDT Sunday. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Wind...Northwest winds becoming north at 35 to 45 mph, with
gusts up to 65 mph expected.
* Humidity...As low as 15 percent.
* Fuels...Critically dry.
* Impacts...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly. Outdoor
burning is discouraged.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
