Description
A burn ban is in effect as of March 10, 2026, for the unincorporated areas of Curry County. Open flames are prohibited outside of buildings, vehicles, or other enclosed spaces, with the following exceptions:
• Agricultural burning: Landowners must first call Clovis Dispatch at 575-769-1921.
• Approved incinerators: Trash burning is allowed only when wind speeds are under 15 mph.
• Grills: Propane and charcoal grills are allowed if they have a lid or cover.
