⚠️ PUBLIC SAFETY ANNOUNCEMENT: Skate Park Closure 🚫
The Borough of Harrisville and the Harrisville Borough Police Department would like to inform residents and nearby communities that the local skate park located on Wick Ave is closed effective immediately and until further notice.
Following several recent complaints, an inspection of the skate park was conducted. During this inspection, multiple safety hazards and structural concerns were identified that pose a significant risk to users.
Due to the condition of the skate park, Harrisville Borough officials contacted the Borough’s insurance company as well as the Borough Solicitor for guidance. After reviewing the situation and the safety concerns, the Borough Solicitor recommended that the skate park be closed immediately due to the potential risk of injury and liability.
The safety of Harrisville Borough residents and visitors—especially our youth—is our top priority, and we cannot allow the park to remain open while these hazardous conditions exist.
Please respect the posted signage and fencing during this temporary closure. Trespassing after hours or during this closure may result in a citation.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation while the Borough evaluates the necessary steps to address the safety concerns.
