Description
As you are aware there was another unfortunate incident which involved a pedestrian being struck at the Square in Littlestown Borough. The Police Department has investigated the incident and reviewed the video and concluded the following results. Both parties have been found at fault and will be cited. The operator of the vehicle will be charged with the following offences, 1. Failure to yield right of way of pedestrians in crosswalks, 2. Operation of motor vehicle while operating privileges are suspended, 3. Required financial responsibility (no insurance). The pedestrian will be charged with right of way with pedestrians in cross walks Section 3542 b title 75. It was determined that the pedestrian failed to activate the crosswalk button and then entered the intersection under a don’t walk pedestrian control signal. Please keep in mind that to activate the pedestrian control signal you must push the buttons that are clearly marked each side of the intersection.
