We are still under a precautionary boil water notice
The City of Ashford wants to reassure everyone that this situation has always been precautionary. At no point has contamination been found in our water. The boil water notice was issued strictly because the water level in our tank dropped below the required threshold.
When water pressure drops below a certain level, state regulations require a precautionary boil water notice until testing confirms the system is safe.
Since then, our water levels have returned to normal operating levels, and we’ve been able to move forward with the required water testing.
Once those results come back, we’ll be able to move to the next step.
We will have another update as soon as tomorrow.
