Description
To: All Littlestown Borough Water Customers.

As you are aware, there was a concern raised last week about unsafe nitrate levels being detected in the Borough supplied water. As a result, we reviewed all our required testing that is submitted to a certified lab and reviewed by the Department of Environmental Protection. It was determined in consultation with SPL (Certified Testing Agency) and DEP that all our tests were correct and the Nitrate levels at all our entry points fell well below the allowable limits. In an abundance of caution, we contacted the resident who raised the concern and offered a certified test to be conducted at his residence. The sample was collected and submitted to the Lab for testing. Attached you find the results of the certified test that falls way below the allowable limits of 10 ppm. The result of the sample registered 4.41 ppm which is consistent with all our entry point test data. If you have any concerns please feel free to contact the Borough Office.
