Red Flag Warning issued February 26 at 3:02PM EST until February 26 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
...Low humidity and gusty southwest winds are producing a High
Fire Danger today across east central Florida...
* AFFECTED AREA...Volusia, Lake, Orange, Seminole, Osceola,
Okeechobee, northern Brevard including Cape Canaveral, southern
inland Brevard, inland Indian River, inland St Lucie, and
inland Martin counties.
* WIND...Southwest winds 15 mph with gusts up to 20 to 25 mph.
* HUMIDITY...30 to 35 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
