FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Town of Inglis – Notice of Election Date Change
The Town of Inglis announces a change to the previously scheduled municipal election date. A candidate has formally withdrawn from the Town Commission race. In accordance with Town Ordinance, this circumstance requires the Town of Inglis to conduct a Special Election, including a new qualifying period.
The new qualifying period for candidates will occur February 19, 2026 through March 13, 2026, with qualifying hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and Fridays from 7:00am to 12:00pm
The Special Election has been rescheduled for April 28, 2026, and will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Inglis Community Center.
The Town of Inglis currently has three (3) open Town Commission seats, each carrying a two (2) year term.
