Flood Watch issued February 22 at 9:01AM HST until February 23 at 6:00AM HST by NWS Honolulu HI

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe, and Niihau.

* WHEN...From noon HST today through 6 AM Monday morning.

* IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be
closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Slow-moving heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms will
develop over island interiors this afternoon and will pose a
threat for flash flooding. The threat then shifts toward
windward and mauka areas tonight as deep moisture and
unstable trade winds build into the area.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
