Description
⚠️ COMMUNITY WEATHER ALERT: WEST YORK BOROUGH
The West York Borough Administration is closely monitoring a developing winter storm expected to impact our area starting late tonight.
While current conditions in West York remain mostly cloudy with a temperature of 45°F, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch effective from late tonight through Monday afternoon. Forecasters are predicting a chance of snow showers tonight, with more significant heavy snow and winds gusting up to 35 mph possible on Sunday and Monday.
Please be advised:
Snow Emergency Status: We are tracking accumulation and road conditions. A formal Snow Emergency may be declared later this evening or early Sunday morning if conditions deteriorate.
Parking & Travel: Should an emergency be declared, all vehicles must be removed from designated snow emergency routes to allow for plowing. Travel could become very difficult by Sunday night.
Updates: We will provide further updates as the storm track becomes clearer.
Please prepare now and stay tuned to official borough channels for further instructions.
