Description
Just a reminder during snowstorms main roads and snow emergency routes as well as Police, Fire and EMS facilities are always being maintained, staff do work on secondary roads with at least one pass followed by all roads being plowed curb to curb once the snow stops.

A few other reminders, all sidewalks must be shoveled 24 hours after the snow stops, please do not throw snow into Borough roads, if you can remove all vehicles off all roads this will allow your street to be plowed curb to curb. If you leave a vehicle in the street, you may be plowed in which will result in you having to remove snow to clear your car.

If you are going to shovel throughout the storm, please remember our trucks will be back and there is the possibility you could be plowed in. Our drivers do not like doing this and understand the effort that residents take to clear their driveways and walks, but this is unavoidable most times. While we would love to be able to raise the plow at every driveway, we would never be able to clean up the Borough in a timely manner. Our drivers do the best they can in these storms. We know that many think this is intentional, but the snow has to go somewhere and so all are aware especially those on York Road, our staff has to return once they are done plowing and clear sidewalks at Borough facilities which also get plowed in.

Thank you again for your continued cooperation and patience. While there are some that love snow, we hope that this is the last storm for the winter.
