NORTHEAST AND CENTRAL HIGHLANDS, AND THE NORTHEAST AND EAST
CENTRAL PLAINS, DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY...

RIO GRANDE VALLEY DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY...
.Another day of strong to potentially damaging southwest winds is
expected on Wednesday, with minimum relative humidity values down
to 8 and 22 percent across central and eastern NM. Uncertainty
exists in the overall fine fuel moisture across the middle Rio
Grande Valley. Winds will weaken some while shifting out of the
northwest on Thursday, and humidities will climb some, but there
is a roughly 25 percent chance that critical fire weather
conditions will return to some areas east of the central mountain
chain.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands (Zone 123), Northeast
Plains (Zone 104), and East Central Plains (Zone 126) today
and Wednesday from 10 AM until 7 PM MST.
* 20 FOOT WINDS... For Wednesday, southwest winds 25 to 40 mph
with gusts between 45 and 60 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY... For Wednesday, minimum values of 8 to 20
percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.
