Description
Special Weather Statement issued February 15 at 5:20PM EST by NWS Tampa Bay Ruskin FL
At 519 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 19 miles west of Rainbow Lakes Estates to 15
miles west of Homosassa. Movement was east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Arbor Lakes, Lecanto, Homosassa Springs, Citronelle, Leisure Acres,
Inglis, Inverness Highlands, Crystal River Airport, Pine Ridge,
Citrus Hills, Gospel Island, Black Diamond, Brent Wood, Homosassa,
Green Acres, Inverness, Crystal Manor, Crystal Oaks, Inverness
Highlands South, and Inverness Highlands North.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EST for northern
Florida.
