Description
"Pennsylvania American Water announced this morning that the boil water advisory for customers in portions of its Allegheny and Washington county service areas has been lifted. Customers were notified on Feb. 7, 2026, that a power surge caused a depletion of water storage at a tank near the Aldrich Water Treatment Plant in Elrama, Washington County. This resulted in a loss of positive pressure in the company’s distribution system, requiring the issuance of the boil-water advisory. This issue has been resolved.
The boil lift notice applies to approximately 95,000 customer connections in the following Pennsylvania American Water service areas in Washington and Allegheny counties, including Elizabeth Township."
