Cold Weather Advisory issued February 9 at 2:01AM EST until February 9 at 9:00AM EST by NWS State College PA
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 below expected.
* WHERE...Columbia, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montour,
Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, Union, and York Counties.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero could
result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged
exposure and lack of proper clothing.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly.
