Extreme Cold Warning issued February 6 at 8:14PM EST until February 7 at 12:00PM EST by NWS Cleveland OH
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below expected.
* WHERE...Crawford, Northern Erie, and Southern Erie Counties.
* WHEN...From 1 AM to noon EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 30 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chill values may drop as low as 15 below
zero again late Saturday night into Sunday morning, and additional
cold weather advisories may be issued.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
