Extreme Cold Watch issued February 5 at 10:04PM EST until February 8 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Albany NY
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills between 25 and 35 degrees
below zero possible.
* WHERE...The southwestern Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley, and eastern
Catskills in eastern New York.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
To prevent water pipes from freezing; wrap or drain or allow them to
drip slowly.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
