Cold Weather Advisory issued February 1 at 1:15AM EST until February 1 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Binghamton NY
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20 below expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central New York and northeast Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 15 to 20
below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as
30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with
prolonged exposure.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
