Cold Weather Advisory issued January 30 at 8:57PM EST until January 31 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Pittsburgh PA
* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and
northern West Virginia.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin
is exposed to these temperatures. The dangerously cold wind chills
as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as
little as 30 minutes. An extended period of freezing temperatures
could cause ruptured water pipes.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
