Extreme Cold Warning issued January 30 at 7:41PM EST until January 31 at 12:00PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills as low as 22 below zero.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, southwest, and west
central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until noon EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause ruptured
water pipes.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
To prevent water pipes from freezing, wrap, drain, or allow them to
drip slowly.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals
have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.
