Dear Crafton Community,
Once again, I want to extend our sincere thanks to our Public Works crew for their impressive efforts in clearing snow throughout the Borough. I also want to thank our Police Department and first responders who have been working around the clock to keep our community safe during these challenging conditions. Our Public Works team has been working tirelessly since the storm, and they continue to focus on removing the larger piles of snow where possible by trucking it out. This is a very slow process, and they're prioritizing areas with the most limited space to help restore access and improve visibility.
School Resumes Next Week
With in-person school set to restart next week, we ask that you please ensure your sidewalks are cleared if they haven't been already. Over the weekend and into next week, our Public Works crew will be focused on ensuring school bus routes are clear and that there are safe places for our children to wait for their buses.
Help Us Help Our Kids
If you know where Crafton's most precious cargo typically waits for the bus, and you're able to help clear those spaces, your neighbors—and especially parents—would greatly appreciate the assistance. A little extra effort in these spots will go a long way in keeping our children safe and comfortable.
Community Spirit Shining Through
Our code enforcement officer has been pleasantly surprised to see how many residents have already cleared their sidewalks and, better yet, how many have graciously helped their neighbors with those efforts. The community spirit is alive and well in Crafton!
Looking Ahead
Please be aware that temperatures are forecasted to remain below freezing for at least the next two weeks, which means most of this snow is here to stay. We appreciate your patience and continued cooperation as we work through this challenging winter weather.
