Description
Cheswick Borough Snow Update
January 29, 2026

Here is an update on snow removal efforts throughout the Borough:

For the first time since the snowstorm, our Public Works Department was not called out overnight.

Public Works crews are actively removing and hauling away large snow piles. This will allow them to re‑plow and create space for additional snow. While we work to minimize buildup around driveways and parked cars, some accumulation is unavoidable. If you need additional assistance, many local landscaping companies offer snow removal services.

The Borough was notified today that the remainder of our pre‑ordered salt will be delivered.

Trash pickup is continuing throughout the Borough today. If you have any issues, please contact NOBLE (County Hauling) at 724-929-7694 or info@countyhauling.com.

Mail Delivery:

The Postal Service continues to operate on a modified schedule. Delivery may be delayed in areas where access remains limited.

As of today, carriers have begun attempting to deliver where they can.

Delivery is still limited due to conditions on the roads as well as individual homes.

What can residents do:

Make sure sidewalks are clear, salted, and free of snow and ice for the safety of the carriers.

If you have mounted delivery (ie box is at the road, delivered from the truck), ensure that the approach to the mailbox is clear— additionally, sidewalks/walkways to porches do need to be clear for package delivery.

Carriers will only make deliveries if it is safe to do so.

Mail can be picked up at the post office.

We appreciate your patience as our crews continue working through the aftermath of this significant storm.

Thank you for your patience.
