Freeze Warning issued January 27 at 12:36AM EST until January 28 at 9:00AM EST by NWS Melbourne FL
* WHAT...For the first Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures as
low as 30 expected. For the first Cold Weather Advisory, very cold
wind chills as low as 22 expected. For the second Freeze Warning,
sub-freezing temperatures as low as 30 expected. For the second
Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chills as low as 24
expected. For the Freeze Watch, sub-freezing temperatures as low
as 29 possible.
* WHERE...Inland Volusia, Northern Lake, and Southern Lake.
* WHEN...For the first Freeze Warning and first Cold Weather
Advisory, until 9 AM EST this morning. For the second Freeze
Warning and second Cold Weather Advisory, from midnight tonight to
9 AM EST Wednesday. For the Freeze Watch, from late Wednesday
night through Thursday morning.
* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
plumbing.
Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
