Extreme Cold Warning issued January 26 at 9:59PM CST until January 27 at 9:00AM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Dangerously cold wind chills and temperatures as low as 11.
* WHERE...All of south central Texas.
* WHEN...Until 9 AM CST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold temperatures could result in
hypothermia or frostbite on exposed skin if precautions are not
taken. Extreme cold will become life threatening and likely
damage unprotected pipes and put livestock
at risk.
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.
Keep pets indoors as much as possible.
Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and
unfrozen water.
Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
