Ice Storm Warning issued January 25 at 9:29AM CST until January 25 at 12:00PM CST by NWS Austin/San Antonio TX
* WHAT...Significant ice and sleet accumulation has occurred, with
total ice and sleet accumulations from 1/10 to 1 inch.
* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas.
* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS...Many roads remain slick and dangerous, with some
impassable.
Travel is strongly discouraged. The latest road conditions can be
obtained by calling 800-452-9292, or by going to drivetexas.org.
Persons are urged to stay indoors until conditions improve. If you
must go outside, dress in layers. Several layers of clothes will
keep you warmer than a single heavy coat. Cover exposed skin to
reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a
hat will keep you from losing your body heat.
Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use
extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.
