Saturday, January 24, 2026 - 8:40 P.M.
Good evening, hopefully everyone has prepared for the big snow storm that is coming tomorrow. How much snow depends on what weather outlet you watched. But we know it's coming.
Please remember that as of 6 P.M. this evening the Caernarvon Township, Berks County has declared a Snow Emergency until Monday, January 26, 2026 at 2 P.M.
No Parking on any township streets until further notice, please make arrangements this evening to remove all vehicles from the streets. You may use any of the township parks or soccer field parking lots to move extra vehicles to. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to vehicles being left on the street. Your vehicle will be ticketed and with this being a Snow Emergency it can be towed at your expense.
Our Public Works Department Director has informed me that they will be starting their operations around 5 A.M. on Sunday morning to clear all roadways in our township. With the heavier snow fall rates it will take them some time to clear all these roads.
Remember not to push or blow snow onto the streets.
If you have a fire hydrant near your house please clear a 3 foot radius around it in case of emergency. \
In case of power failure please contact your electric company supplier. Do not call 911 for power failures.

In event a power failure in Caernarvon Township, Berks we will notify you that the township building would be opened for a warning shelter if needed.
Please remember to check on your elderly neighbors. We ask that you stay off the roads until they are cleared. It appears that a lot of the smaller business locations will be closing do to the storm.
The Caernarvon Township Police Department will have officer's on duty patrolling and ready to respond to calls if needed.
