Description
Please be advised that the Board of Commissioners of Upper Chichester Township, in coordination with the Emergency Management Coordinator and Township Manager, has issued a Declaration of Disaster Emergency in advance of Winter Storm Fern.
Emergency Operations: Once the storm begins, the Emergency Management Coordinator will open the Emergency Operations Center if necessary. The Upper Chichester Township Police Department and Public Works Department will be fully staffed and operational throughout the storm.
To ensure the safety of Township staff, first responders, and the public, residents are asked to comply with Chapter 555, Article VI of the Township Code immediately before, during, and after the storm. Parking and driving restrictions will go into effect at the onset of the storm and will remain in effect until the storm event has concluded.

Chichester Avenue – Township boundary with Bethel Township to Laughead Avenue
Larkin Road – Naaman’s Creek Road to Chichester Avenue
Market Street (Route 452) – Township boundary with Aston Township to Laughead Avenue
Meetinghouse Road – Delaware State Line to Route 452
Naaman’s Creek Road – Township boundary with Bethel Township to Township boundary with Lower Chichester Township
Route 322 – Township boundary with Bethel Township to Highland Avenue Exit at Township boundary
Utility Emergencies: If you see downed power lines or smell natural gas, leave the area immediately and call 911.

Recycling & Municipal Building Closure
There will be no recycling collection on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Monday’s recycling route will be collected on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, along with the regular Tuesday route.
The Upper Chichester Township Municipal Building will be closed to the public on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The Board of Commissioners of Upper Chichester Township urges all residents to remain safe and take appropriate precautions during the storm.
