Description
The Town of Federalsburg has declared a Snow Emergency due to a significant winter storm expected to impact the area.
Snow Emergency Period:
6pm Saturday, January 24 through 6pm Monday, January 27
During this time, parking is prohibited on designated Snow Emergency Routes, including certain main streets throughout town.
Weather forecasts indicate 1–2 feet of snow, sleet, and freezing rain, creating hazardous and difficult travel conditions. Keeping these routes, clear is critical to maintaining public safety.
Snow Emergency Routes
NO PARKING ON DESIGNATED SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES.
During a snow emergency, the following streets are priority routes for plowing and emergency access.
Please DO NOT park on these roads during snow events:
South Main Street
North Main Street
Bloomingdale Avenue
Academy Avenue
East Central Avenue
West Central Avenue
Reliance Avenue
South University Avenue
North University Avenue
Liberty Road
Railroad Avenue
📌 Keeping these routes clear helps ensure safe travel for emergency vehicles and allows Public Works crews to perform snow removal efficiently.
Resident Action Required:
Residents are strongly encouraged to limit all on-street parking prior to Saturday and remove vehicles from Snow Emergency Routes before the emergency period begins to avoid towing and delays in snow removal.
Emergency Declaration Authority:

The Town, its agents, employees, and officials are authorized to take all lawful actions necessary to prevent and mitigate the impacts of the storm.
This declaration will remain in effect until it is canceled by a subsequent declaration.
