PEC is monitoring weather reports and preparing for winter weather that is expected.
PEC’s proactive preparations include:
* Ensuring they have ample crews who are staged and ready to respond
* Making sure vehicles are ready
* Confirming facilities are stocked with supplies
* Working with their suppliers to ensure adequate reserves are available
* Ramping up call center staffing as needed
Regardless of the preventative maintenance and work they do year-round to keep the system resilient, continuous service is not guaranteed. When outages happen, getting the lights on as quickly and safely as possible is their top priority. In case of ice accumulation or outages, they ask that members be patient and know that we are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.
☎️ For Volente residents, the best way to report an outage is by texting “OUTAGE” to 25022. Members can also report at https://map.mypec.com/, with SmartHub, or by calling 888-883-3379. PEC will post updates on social media and online at mypec.com. Members can find information on staying prepared at mypec.com/prep and visit mypec.com/outage to view outage maps and find a one-stop-shop for outage needs.
