Description
As you are probably aware, our area is forecasted to receive up to a foot of snow. Our Road Department Dump Trucks are loaded with salt and ready to go once the snow starts falling. Here is a friendly reminder about levels issued by the Fairfield Sheriff's Office:
Level 1: Roads are snow and ice covered. This means be very careful as you travel about due to slick road conditions.
Level 2: Roads have blowing or drifting snow, and unnecessary travel is discouraged.
Level 3: Roads are closed to non-emergency personnel. Anyone caught on the roadways is subject to being arrested.
Please keep in mind, that our Road Warriors treat primary through roads first, then secondary roads, then subdivisions. Also please realize our drivers cannot exceed 12 hours behind the wheel. If this snow is blizzard-like, a mandatory break will be taken after 12 hours. The break will last 8 hours before crews are out again. We greatly appreciate your patience and urge you to be very careful this weekend.
