Description
As we prepare for the impending winter snowstorm, the Township is taking steps to ensure the safety of residents and our crews. We ask for your cooperation with the following:
* Avoid unnecessary travel. If you must drive, use caution, stay at least six car lengths back from snowplows, and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle that includes a flashlight, blankets, food, and water.
* Do not push or pile snow onto roadways.
* Maintain a minimum 3-foot clearance around fire hydrants to allow for emergency access.
Wind, heavy snow, and ice may result in power outages throughout the region. Please contact your electric provider—not 9-1-1—to report outages. To report downed power lines or outages to PECO, visit peco.com/outages or call 1-800-841-4141.
We will be working to treat and plow the streets, but it may take some time to clear all streets. Crews will continue working throughout the storm and afterward to ensure roadways are safely cleared. We appreciate your patience.
Also remember to check on your neighbors--especially the elderly.
